What if my insurance is not listed?

If your insurance is not listed, that means we are are an "out-of-network" provider with your insurance. Some insurances may offer access to out-of-network benefits, but your coverage might be very limited. You may still receive services with us if you choose. For more information on private pay, click here.

What questions do I ask when I call my insurance company?

Whether or not you are in or out of network, it is still a good idea to learn about your benefits.

Here are some important questions to ask your insurance provider:

  • Do I have mental health coverage for psychotherapy services?

  • If yes, do I have a co-pay? How much is my co-pay?

  • Do I have a deductible? If so, what is it and have I met my deductible?

  • How many sessions am I allowed for the calendar year?

Private pay

Sliding Scale

We believe that people should have access to mental health services.

A sliding scale is a reduced fee for services due to special circumstances.

We offer a sliding scale for individuals who have no insurance coverage AND are experiencing financial hardship due to:

  • job loss,

  • illness,

  • or other unexpected life challenges.

You can complete our Out-of-Pocket application form to be considered for this benefit.

Private Pay

Some individuals choose or use private pay due to the following reasons:

  • You do not have insurance coverage.

  • You have a high deductible plan.

  • We are out of network with your insurance.

  • You do not want to share your diagnosis with insurance companies. At this time, insurances require mental health providers to submit a diagnosis for services to be covered.

We accept cash, checks, and credit card payments for co-pays and private pay services.

Please read the information on Good Faith Estimates below.

Good Faith Estimate

The No Surprises Act, which is part of the Consolidated Appropriations Act of 2021, is designed to protect clients from receiving unexpected medical bills. The Good Faith Estimate provision of the No Surprises Act is designed to give clients an estimate of how much they’ll be charged for the healthcare services they’ll be receiving, prior to their appointment.

If you don’t have health insurance or you plan to pay for health care bills yourself, generally, health care providers and facilities must give you an estimate of expected charges when you schedule an appointment for a health care item or service or if you ask for an estimate. This is called a “good faith estimate.”

Important Points:

  • You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services.

  • The Good Faith Estimate is not a bill and should include charges for services, items, and any other reasonably expected costs for that time period.

  • Your provider must give you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your service/item. You can also ask your provider for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service/item.

  • You can dispute a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate.

  • Make sure to save a copy of your Good Faith Estimate.

For more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call (800)985-3059.
